The spectacular Mugello Circuit, nestled amongst the rolling hills of Tuscany, provided the perfect backdrop for another thrilling ACI Racing Weekend. Three days of close competition, scorching temperatures and packed grids ensured there was never a dull moment, with some of Italy's finest GT, touring car and junior single-seater talent all sharing the circuit.
The headline act was the Italian GT Championship, where almost 30 GT3 machines lined up for an action-packed pair of races featuring experienced professionals alongside rising stars.
Saturday's opening encounter belonged to Team VSR, as the #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 of Georgi Dimitrov and Simone Riccitelli converted pole position into a commanding lights-to-flag victory. The duo controlled the race from the front to strengthen their championship challenge.
Raptor Engineering's striking #59 McLaren 720S GT3 EVO, driven by Riccardo Cazzaniga and Dean Macdonald, mounted a determined chase throughout the race but ultimately had to settle for second place. Another VSR Lamborghini completed the podium, with Hugo Cook and Alex Denning securing third.
One of the biggest stories of Race 1 came in the closing stages when the #73 Antonelli Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 was forced into retirement while running second. After battling for victory throughout the race, it was a heartbreaking result for the team founded by Formula 1 driver Kimi Antonelli.
Sunday produced a different winner as Jens Klingmann and Ugo de Wilde guided the BMW M4 GT3 to an impressive victory. Team VSR added another podium with second place, while DL Racing completed an all-Italian manufacturer podium by finishing third in its Lamborghini.
The GT4 category also produced standout performances. Casals Motorsport enjoyed a perfect weekend, claiming victory in both races with the #16 BMW M4 GT4 driven by Giacomo Maman and Gustavo Sandrucci. Their pace proved untouchable across the weekend.
The TCR Italy Championship once again demonstrated why it continues to attract huge grids and fierce competition. Saturday saw the #12 Hyundai secure a dominant pole-to-flag victory, while Sunday's honours went to the #17 Audi RS3 after a superb drive through another highly competitive field.
The Italian Formula 4 Championship showcased the next generation of racing talent. As one of the first major steps on the ladder towards Formula 1, the championship has helped launch the careers of drivers including Michael Schumacher, while today's Ferrari and McLaren academy drivers continue to hone their skills in the fiercely competitive series. Race 1 victory went to Ferrari Driver Academy prospect Niccolò Macagnani, underlining the exceptional level of talent on display.
The GT Cup Championship added yet more entertainment, bringing together Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and Porsche machinery in a spectacular multi-class battle. Ferrari dominated both races, locking out all three podium positions on each occasion, but the action throughout the field remained relentless as GT4 machinery battled GT3 cars and rival manufacturers traded positions lap after lap.
Set against the breathtaking scenery of Tuscany, Mugello once again proved why it remains one of Europe's most iconic racing circuits. From GT3 legends and future Formula 1 hopefuls to hard-fought touring car battles, the ACI Racing Weekend delivered outstanding racing from the first green flag to the final chequered flag.
