The BTCC returned in style at Knockhill, with the Scottish circuit basking in glorious sunshine and its trademark rolling hills providing the perfect backdrop for touring car action. Fans packed the banks to witness a weekend of high-octane drama, and it was WSR’s BMWs that proved untouchable. From the opening laps, the rear-wheel-drive machines looked perfectly at home around the short, twisty track, delivering commanding performances that left rivals chasing shadows. The combination of pace, precision, and consistency meant that wherever the battles raged behind, the BMWs were always in control.

The atmosphere was electric, the racing relentless, and with Knockhill’s unique blend of fast corners, heavy braking zones, and tight overtaking spots, the weekend offered everything fans could have hoped for. For WSR, it was a statement of intent—one that reignited their title charge and reminded everyone why Knockhill is often regarded as one of the BTCC’s great levellers.

Hill Returns to Winning Ways with Knockhill Race 1 Victory

Laser Tools Racing’s Jake Hill bounced back in style at Knockhill, taking his second victory of the 2025 season after missing the Croft round through illness. The reigning champion looked sharp from the off, capitalising on WSR’s early dominance to secure a well-earned P1.

Pole-sitter Charles Rainford led the charge in the opening laps, with WSR enjoying a commanding 1-2-3. That order was briefly shaken up when Daryl DeLeon, showing the same speed he’d displayed in qualifying, launched a daring move down the inside at Turn 1. The gamble didn’t pay off as he overshot onto the grass, but in a dramatic twist rejoined the circuit ahead of the field. With grass clogging the radiator and questions over the legality of the move, DeLeon wisely allowed Rainford and Hill back through.

Hill wasted no time in making his mark. A decisive pass on teammate Rainford put him into the lead, and from there the Laser Tools driver controlled the race, cruising to his second win of 2025. Rainford held strong in second, while championship leader Tom Ingram completed the podium. Ingram’s result came after being waved through by teammate Senna Proctor, who had been holding onto third for much of the race.

Just behind, Dan Cammish and Aiden Moffatt completed the top six, with DeLeon salvaging eighth after his Turn 1 adventure. Ash Sutton slotted into seventh, while Aron Taylor-Smith impressed in ninth, fending off fierce pressure from both a NAPA Ford Focus and a Vertu Hyundai. Sam Osborne rounded out the top ten.

Starting from the second row, the Team Vertu driver wasted no time slicing past the BMWs of Charles Rainford and Jake Hill, who struggled to keep pace on the medium tyre compound. Hill defended stoutly in the early exchanges, but once Ingram found his rhythm there was no stopping him, the Hyundai pulling clear to take a comfortable victory.

Hill Crowned ‘King of the Hill’ with Dominant Knockhill Double

Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport enjoyed a dream end to the Knockhill weekend as Jake Hill stormed to victory in Race 3, sealing a sensational double win and earning the title of ‘King of the Hill.’

The reigning champion described the triumph as one of his best, praising the balance and pace of his BMW as he crossed the line more than seven seconds clear of NAPA Racing UK’s Dan Cammish, while Ash Sutton completed the podium.

Sutton and Ingram had been nose to tail for much of the race, with Cammish initially running in second. For the second time in the day, Cammish allowed his teammate through to aid Sutton’s championship challenge, but Sutton’s move was later overshadowed after it was revealed he had passed under yellow flag conditions. The positions were subsequently reversed, confirming Cammish as runner-up.
