The Masters of Motoring 2025 event, held across June 7–8, delivered a carefully balanced blend of speed, heritage and design, split across two contrasting but complementary venues. From wet-weather track action at Castle Combe Circuit to a refined concours-style finale at Bowood House & Gardens, the weekend showcased just how broad the modern motoring audience has become.

Despite a blustery and rain-soaked Saturday, the event leaned into its strengths - real cars, real noise, and real access.

Saturday - Masters of Motoring Live at Castle Combe

Day one centred firmly on track activity, with Masters of Motoring Live turning Castle Combe’s 1.85-mile circuit into a rolling showcase of modern supercars, classics and competition machinery.
Non-stop sessions kept spectators engaged throughout the day, with parade laps, public passenger rides and demonstration runs all running despite challenging weather conditions. The damp surface did little to dull enthusiasm, if anything it underlined the commitment of owners willing to put valuable machinery to work rather than keep it under covers.

The car lineup leaned heavily into performance and prestige, supported by collaborations with the Four Marks Supercar Owners Club, The Drivers Union, Supercar Owner Society, and a strong presence from Lamborghini Bristol under the Ryland Group banner.

Modern McLarens, Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Ultimas shared space with full-spec competition cars, including rally machinery such as Martin G Roberts’ Audi Quattro, reminding visitors that motorsport heritage still sits at the heart of the event.

Sunday - Elegance and Heritage at Bowood

Sunday marked a clear tonal shift as the event relocated to the landscaped grounds of Bowood House & Gardens. The atmosphere became more garden party than pit wall, with a static display focused on craftsmanship, rarity and design.

Classic and rare vehicles were positioned to be studied rather than rushed past, encouraging conversation between owners, specialists and visitors. The format suited families and collectors alike, offering a slower pace without losing depth.

A notable addition for 2025 was the launch of MotoArto, a curated zone dedicated to automotive art, design, and restomod or outlaw-style vehicles. The area broadened the appeal beyond traditional concours crowds, drawing interest from younger visitors and those approaching car culture through creativity rather than competition.

Highlights Across the Weekend

The strength of Masters of Motoring 2025 lay in its variety.

Racing heritage was well represented, with historic Formula One cars on display including a classic 1960s Grand Prix single-seater, alongside Klassico-prepared single-seaters and more than 20 rally cars spanning multiple eras.
One of the standout rarities was the Yardley-McLaren M19A-1 Formula One car, presented by AViT! Motorsport.

The car remains a striking reminder of a raw and visually distinctive period in Formula One history.

Modern performance also had its place. Lamborghini Bristol brought current-generation supercars to both venues, while electric performance gained increased visibility.

The Renault 5 EV, crowned Car of the Year 2025, led an expanded display highlighting how electrification is now part of the performance conversation rather than sitting outside it.

Motorcycles made a welcome step forward in 2025 with a dedicated display area featuring race bikes, classic road tourers and club exhibits from the Bath Classic and West Wilts Vintage groups, adding another layer to the weekend’s motorsport narrative.

Closing Notes from the Pitlane

Masters of Motoring 2025 succeeded by refusing to be one thing. It was loud and wet on Saturday, calm and curated on Sunday. It celebrated both cutting-edge performance and deep-rooted heritage, while making room for art, design and evolving automotive culture.

For enthusiasts, families and industry alike, the weekend delivered an immersive experience that felt considered rather than overproduced. Two venues, two moods, one coherent vision.

A format that continues to earn its place on the UK motorsport and automotive calendar.
