The four time world champion Max Verstappen starts 2026 with Mercedes AMG Verstappen.com Racing in the 24-hour of Nürburgring. Max Verstappen teams up with Dani Jucadella, Joules Gounon and Lucas Auer. The team is listed as a Mercedes AMG Performance Team and will participate in NLS 1, 2, 3, the 24-h Qualifiers and the 24-h Race. Verstappen will drive in NLS 2 and the 24-h Race, if the Formula One race in Saudi Arabia gets cancelled, he could also participate in the 24-h Qualifiers.
Max Verstappen got his DMSB Permit to race at the Nordschleife in September 2025, after that he won NLS 9 together with his teammate Chris Lulham in this Ferrari 296 GT3. He set himself the goal of competing in the 24-hour race. However, he wanted to drive a preparatory race beforehand, but this was initially not possible due to clashes with the Formula One calendar. Mercedes AMG Motorsport (Toto Wolf) then intervened to move the second NLS race forward by one week. The Nürburgring Endurance Series approved this request.
