The Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally, nestled in the scenic Scottish Borders town of Jedburgh, once again delivered adrenaline-fueled excitement as it played host to the prestigious Protyre BTRDA Rally Series. With its challenging forest stages in the Tweed Valley and Wauchope Forest complexes, it offered a thrilling spectacle for rally enthusiasts.

Claiming the coveted overall victory were Elliot Payne and Patrick Walsh, skillfully navigating their Ford Fiesta Rally2 to triumph over the rugged terrain. Their mastery of the course was evident as they clinched not only the rally victory but also secured the top spot in the Protyre BTRDA Rally Series, showcasing their formidable talent and determination.

Matthew Hirst and Declan Dear, despite encountering early engine troubles, showcased remarkable resilience by swiftly adapting, hiring another Ford Fiesta Rally2 to continue their pursuit of glory. Their tenacity was commendable, securing a respectable second place overall, just 29 seconds adrift from the triumphant duo.

Liam Clark and Emily Easton-Page put on a stellar performance, steering their Ford Fiesta Rally2 to a well-deserved third-place finish. Their precision and teamwork were on full display navigating lingering dust in some of the forest sections, finishing a mere 41 seconds behind the leaders, earning them a podium spot amidst fierce competition.

As the dust settles on the Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally, anticipation mounts for the upcoming Round 4 of the BTRDA Rally Series,  Kielder Forest Rally. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Kielder Forest, rally enthusiasts eagerly await the thrills and challenges that the Hexham-based event will undoubtedly deliver on the 15th of June.
