BTCC Race 1 Report: Ingram Charges to Victory as Cook Stuns from 14th
After a dramatic and rain-soaked qualifying session at Thruxton that saw Josh Cook sent hurtling into the tyre wall, the British Touring Car Championship served up a completely different scene on race day.

The sun was shining, a gentle breeze swept across the Hampshire circuit, and a packed crowd lined the fences for what would be an action-packed opening race.
Ingram Takes Victory in Chaotic Opener
Tom Ingram became the ninth different race winner in the last nine BTCC races, claiming a hard-fought victory after a thrilling contest that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
The drama kicked off immediately as Team VERTU’s Tom Chilton was spun into Turn One following a three-way scrap with teammate Senna Proctor and Jake Hill. The chaos didn’t stop there—Charles Rainford found himself bouncing across the grass before rejoining the track at a precarious angle, miraculously avoiding contact with the pack.
A separate incident between Sam Osborne’s Ford and Max Hall’s Cupra prompted a six-lap safety car intervention to clear the debris and settle the field.

Ingram-Sutton Clash Adds Spark to Restart
As the safety car peeled away, tension mounted at the front of the pack. Ingram had initially snatched the lead from pole-sitter Ash Sutton, but a dispute quickly arose as Ingram believed he made the move before the safety car boards were displayed. Nonetheless, he was ordered to relinquish the position.
When racing resumed, the gloves were off. Ingram and Sutton wasted no time reigniting their duel, clashing through the final chicane in a dramatic moment that saw both cars run wide. Ingram emerged ahead and quickly made it count, stretching a gap while Sutton struggled to hang on to the front group.

Cammish and Cook Capitalise
With Sutton losing pace—possibly due to a mechanical issue—Dan Cammish found his way past into second place, taking full advantage when Ronan Doble overshot into the Complex. Doble’s troubles continued as he later pulled off with a mechanical problem, while Josh Cook took full advantage of the chaos to slot into third.

Cook’s Grit Shines Through
It was a truly heroic drive from Cook, who just a day earlier had been taken to hospital following a high-speed qualifying crash. Despite suffering a heavily bruised foot, he launched from 14th on the grid and fought his way through the pack with precision and aggression. His eventual third-place finish was one of the stories of the day and earned him rapturous applause from the Thruxton crowd.

BTCC Race 2 Report: Sutton Stuns With Scorching Start for Third Win of the Season
Ash Sutton delivered a jaw-dropping opening lap in Race 2 at Thruxton to claim his third BTCC victory of the season, leaving his rivals trailing in his wake with one of the most memorable getaways in recent history.
Starting fourth on the grid, Sutton launched his NAPA Racing UK Ford with precision and aggression, slicing through the front runners with surgical accuracy. Despite Tom Ingram appearing to get a solid start from the front row, Sutton found a gap between Dan Cammish and Josh Cook on the run to Turn One. By the time the cars screamed through Allard, Sutton had outbraked his title rival Ingram and taken the lead in sensational fashion.

Sutton Pulls Clear as Ingram and Cook Settle In
Once in front, Sutton was untouchable. He steadily increased the gap to Ingram, who could only watch the Ford edge away lap after lap. Josh Cook maintained third position throughout, the pair holding their places to the chequered flag behind the runaway leader.

However, post-race scrutiny brought heartbreak for Cook and his One Motorsport team. His car failed the ride height check during scrutineering, resulting in exclusion from the final results. That handed the final podium spot to Daniel Rowbottom.
Midfield Mayhem and Fluid Drama
Behind the front three, the fight for fourth place kept the crowd entertained. Rowbottom and Jake Hill exchanged positions multiple times in an intense duel, but their battle took a dramatic twist when fluid dropped from Mikey Doble’s Vauxhall sent both cars skating through Allard.

Rowbottom was forced onto the grass in a high-speed moment, while Hill’s BMW appeared to lose some edge as the race wore on. That allowed Dan Cammish to pounce and snatch fourth place in the closing stages.
Proctor Impresses on Return
Senna Proctor made the most of his return to the BTCC grid, securing sixth place after a clean and consistent drive. James Dorlin, Chris Smiley, Daryl DeLeon, and Dan Lloyd rounded out the top ten in a race that again showcased the unpredictable, high-stakes drama of Britain’s premier tin-top series.

BTCC Race 3 Report: Rowbottom Seals Reverse Grid Glory in Thrilling Finale
Dan Rowbottom capped off a superb weekend for NAPA Racing UK with a commanding victory in Race 3 at Thruxton, becoming a double winner in the 2025 BTCC season and rounding off a day packed with drama, overtakes, and pivotal moments in the title battle.
Rowbottom Rockets to the Front
Pole-sitter James Dorlin made a clean start, but it was Jake Hill who charged past into the lead on the opening run to Allard. Dorlin's early challenge faded quickly, as Rowbottom dove past him into the Complex to grab second.

The decisive move for the lead came at Segrave—a corner Rowbottom had mastered all weekend. As Hill hugged the inside line out of the Complex, Rowbottom capitalised on the tighter exit, sending his Ford down the inside at Segrave in trademark style to seize the lead.
NAPA Locks Out the Podium Top Two
Hill’s hopes of a podium faded as contact with Ash Sutton disrupted his momentum. The resulting melee saw Adam Morgan dragged onto the grass at high speed through Allard and into the barriers, bringing out the race’s only safety car.
Meanwhile, Dan Cammish moved up into third, securing a NAPA Racing UK one-two behind Rowbottom. The team’s dominant showing underlined their growing strength as the season progresses.

Sutton Spins, Hill Limps In: Battle Ends in Drama
The clash between Hill and Sutton was one of the key talking points of the race. As Hill defended hard, contact sent Sutton into a dramatic 360-degree spin. Hill ran wide and onto the grass, with his BMW picking up enough debris to force him into the pits with radiator issues.
Sutton, however, recovered brilliantly—storming back through the pack to claim a hard-earned fifth place behind Senna Proctor, who kept his nose clean for a strong fourth-place finish on his return weekend.
Ingram Snatches Second Late On
Tom Ingram showed late-race pace once again. With increased hybrid boost available in the final laps, he closed the gap to Cammish and executed a clean pass at the final chicane to secure second place behind Rowbottom. It marked Ingram’s third visit to the podium from as many races, keeping his title challenge firmly on course.

Jack Sears Trophy Glory for DeLeon
Daryl DeLeon impressed once again with another composed drive, rounding out an excellent weekend and taking home the Jack Sears Trophy after consistent performances across all three races.
