Snetterton Stage Rally – 7 February 2026
Snetterton delivered a proper rally day from the very first moment. The morning began bright and calm, the kind of winter sun that tricks you into optimism, before the weather turned.
Wind picked up, rain swept across the circuit, and suddenly the day demanded respect from everyone involved.

Credit first to the fans. Plenty of them too. Wrapped up, soaked through, and still lining the stages. Rally crowds understand that the best moments rarely come in comfort.

The entry list was a reminder of why stage rallying hits differently. Modern machinery sat alongside classics, Evos and Escorts echoing across the venue. There is nothing quite like the sound of a rally car at full commitment, especially when the weather adds its own chaos.
The paddock was alive all day.

Drivers and mechanics working against the clock, adjusting setups as the conditions refused to settle. Tyre choices became the story between stages, inters swapped for full wets and then swapped straight back again. The wind dried sections of the track just enough to stop the wets from fully firing, leaving drivers hunting for grip that simply was not there.

The rally ran over three stages, each one demanding in its own way. Tight road sections punished hesitation, while the on track elements rewarded bravery and precision. Small mistakes mattered. Big ones ended days.

As the afternoon wore on, the fight at the front tightened. It all came down to the final run of Stage 3, with only seconds separating first and second. In the end, just two seconds decided it.

Michael Igoe and Will Atkins took the win in their Citroen C3 Rally2, edging out John Griffiths and Emma Morrison in a finish that had everyone watching the clocks.

As daylight faded, the rally refused to quieten down. Headlights cut through the gloom, engines still barking into the distance, the circuit alive right to the final car.

A proper rally day. Unforgiving weather, committed driving, and a result decided the hard way..
