The Goodwood Festival of Speed once again cemented its reputation as one of the world's greatest celebrations of motorsport, welcoming thousands of enthusiasts across four action-packed days at Goodwood House in West Sussex.

Blending the sport's rich heritage with cutting-edge automotive technology, the 2026 event brought together current racing stars, legendary drivers, leading manufacturers and an extraordinary collection of competition machinery spanning every era of motorsport.

The iconic 1.16-mile Hillclimb remained the focal point of the festival, with hundreds of Formula 1 cars, Le Mans Hypercars, GT3 machines, touring cars, rally cars, motorcycles and historic racers tackling the famous course throughout the weekend. Packed paddocks also allowed fans unrivalled access to drivers, teams and some of the most iconic vehicles ever built.

Formula 1 enjoyed one of its strongest representations in recent Festival history, with a remarkable gathering of current drivers joined by championship-winning cars from previous generations. Demonstration runs, fan interviews, autograph sessions and balcony appearances ensured Formula 1 remained one of the biggest attractions throughout the event.

Leading automotive manufacturers including Ferrari, Porsche, Ford, McLaren, Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, Hyundai, Toyota and BMW showcased impressive displays, unveiling numerous new vehicles while demonstrating the industry's continued move towards electric, hybrid and hydrogen-powered performance technology alongside traditional combustion-powered supercars.

Dan Ticktum finished second in the new Formula E Gen4 challenger with a time of 42.46 seconds, underlining the rapid development of electric motorsport.

Formula E celebrated every chapter of its championship by showcasing each generation of its race cars. Dan Ticktum demonstrated the championship's latest Gen4 machine, while Lucas di Grassi reunited fans with the original championship-winning Gen1 car. Jaguar also highlighted its latest developments in next-generation electric racing technology.

Beyond the racing action, visitors explored the popular Future Lab exhibition, Electric Avenue, the First Glance vehicle debuts, the prestigious Cartier Style et Luxe concours, Bonhams' renowned auction and extensive manufacturer experience zones. Sim racing competitions also proved hugely popular, with visitors competing on professional simulators and taking on professional drivers and leading content creators.

The event welcomed an impressive line-up of motorsport personalities including Romain Dumas, Travis Pastrana, Mad Mike, Steve 'Baggsy' Biagioni, Isack Hadjar, Liam Lawson, Freddie Hunt, Luke Browning, Franco Colapinto, Dan Ticktum, Lucas di Grassi and Fernando Barrichello, alongside stars from Formula 1, the World Rally Championship, endurance racing and touring cars.
